Project Carbon Groendak
We are excited to share that we have launched the first European bio-enhanced silicate weathering feasibility field trials. As part of this effort, we are currently cultivating a 2000m² Carbon Groendak dedicated to permanent CO2 removal. This study combines enhanced weathering with green roofs to achieve permanent CO2 removal. This innovative combination not only benefits the environment but also enhances the sustainability and functionality of green roofs.
Our Carbon groendak offers multiple advantages. It enhances the aesthetic appeal of buildings, improves insulation, reduces energy costs, provides water retention and promotes biodiversity by providing a habitat for various plant and animal species.
A standout feature of our green roof is its ability to achieve permanent CO2 removal. By combining enhanced weathering with traditional green roof techniques, our system effectively captures and stores carbon dioxide, significantly contributing to the fight against climate change.
Join us in making a positive impact on our planet!
